From plant medicine and mind, body, lifestyle, to music and small business ownership – the women of our Plant Podium are all navigating this world in notable ways.

We caught up with Caroline Lahti, she is the industrious owner of Florabrook in New York City, where she creates floral arrangements large and small and handcrafts dried flower bouquets that ship nationwide! Incorporating CBD into her regular routine is just another way she embraces her love of the natural world.

What’s your craft?
Florist/floral design. I’m the owner of florabrook. We do weekly flowers for businesses, events, flower installations, and single deliveries

What’s your favorite part of the day?
I’m a big morning person. I wake up earlier than most and have the most energy when I wake up. I’m known for sending out 6 am emails and texting my friends way before they wake up. It’s perfect for 5 am flower market runs.

What or who inspires you or brings you out of creative fatigue?
The ladies I work with. We all have the same creative energy, and their ideas motivate me.

How do you think the hemp trend has affected wellness?
I think giving people the flexibility to use it if they wish and not making it such a big deal is good. If it helps you relax, or sleep, then why not?

How do you stay balanced?
(Pre quarantine) my life is SO busy and sometimes it makes my head spin. I have gotten myself so overwhelmed at times and I refuse to let it happen anymore. I force myself to take a day off when I need it even if it’s mid-week, or go out with my boyfriend and leave my phone at home.

What’s one app you couldn’t live without that’s not social media?
I’ve been looking at buying an apartment or house and have lived on Zillow for the past year. 🙂
