Are CBD and CBG the same?
While CBD and CBG are closely related, it’s important to note the differences between the two cannabinoids.
What is CBG?
Cannabigerol (CBG) is essentially the compound that the other compounds begin as.
While the hemp plant continues to grow, the CBG compound turns into other cannabinoids, including CBD, during the growth process. This is why CBG is known as the “stem cell” or “mother” of the plant. Once this happens, there is typically less than 1% left of CBG.
CBG has to be harvested earlier than the other cannabinoids. New Highs full spectrum CBG tincture is C02 extracted from sun-grown organic Oregon hemp.

What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the most prominent phyto-cannabinoids found in the hemp plant. It is one of the compounds that CBG becomes during the growth process.
Unlike CBG, CBD is found in high levels in the hemp plant when it is fully grown.
New Highs CBD also comes from sun-grown Oregon hemp.
Why should I use them?
Both non-intoxicating products have great benefits that customers enjoy from using the products orally or topically.
The research around CBD has shown this specific cannabinoid offers significant relief from the symptoms of a variety of ailments.
Research shows that CBG may be beneficial in colon health, cancer, inflammation, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, glaucoma, Huntington’s disease, bacteria growth, and more. CBG is also thought to boost anandamide, an endocannabinoid that naturally increases dopamine levels and helps to regulate various health functions such as mood, sleep, and appetite.
